(Pursat Province):  The Consumer Protection, Competition and Fraud Repression (CCF) Directorate-General of the Ministry of Commerce attended to perform the roles and duties, law enforcement activities of the CCF Directorate-General, and halal affairs in Cambodia during the Exhibition of the 7th Season of the campaign to buy Khmer products was organized by the General Directorate of Trade Promotion (GDTP) of the Ministry of Commerce about 4 days from October 16^th to 19th, 2022 at Pursat River, Pursat Province.

The inauguration ceremony of the exhibition of Khmer products on the occasion of the campaign to buy Khmer products was held on October 16^th,  2022 under the presidency of H.E. SEANG Thai, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, and H.E. POV Piseth, Deputy Governor of Pursat. The ceremony was also attended by government officials, local authorities around the province, officials of the Department of Halal Affairs, the CCF Branch of Pursat, stakeholders, foreign tourism and students.

In this exhibition, the CCF Directorate-General designed a poster which were displaying about roles and responsibilities under four laws enforcement such as the Management Safety on Product and Service law, Consumer protection law, Competition law and Food Safety law, Regulation documentaries and other educational leaflets. The purpose of displaying them is to show the public awareness of the right to be protected by law and the complaint mechanism to the CCF Directorate-General, if there is a fraud is in occurrence. 

At the same time, the CCF Directorate-General which has a Department of Halal Affairs as its implementing body also display the activity of the Cambodia Halal Steering Committee (CHSC), and regulation documentaries related to halal affairs, especially halal products that have already received the approval of Certificate of Cambodia Halal Product Technical Standard in a purpose to disseminate, and raise awareness of the interests of using the Cambodia halal logo. This promotion enhances the reliable for Muslims to use Cambodia halal logo in a compliance. It was also promoting all relevant regulations and procedures for applying for Certificate of Cambodia Halal Product Technical Standard, and boosting the trade of halal industries in Cambodia, especially to increase the supply chain into reginal and global market.
